Aluspray Aluminium Spray ALUSPRAY Vetoquinol

Description

Aluspray Aluminium Spray: micronised aluminium barrier for animal wounds

Aluspray aluminium spray is a 210 mL aerosol for topical use on animals. It contains micronised aluminium powder at 4% w/w and liquid paraffin at 12% w/w. The propellant is liquefied petroleum gas at 84% w/w. Vetoquinol distributes this spray for superficial wounds and abrasions. The spray coats the wound with a fine layer of micronised aluminium. As a result, it forms a waterproof physical barrier over the area.

You reach for Aluspray when an animal has a minor cut, graze or post-procedure wound that needs cover. The spray shrinks surface tissue, so it helps limit bleeding and exudate. Moreover, the barrier guards the wound against micro-organisms, moisture, dirt and insects. It works much like an adhesive bandage. Yet it goes on fast and later washes off with warm, soapy water.

Producers and pet owners use Aluspray across many species. Vetoquinol lists it for simple wounds and abrasions, including injuries after dehorning. The fine coating lets the wound surface oxygenate while it stays covered. It also helps limit the development of granular tissue. Because the barrier is long-lasting, it keeps working between applications.
